Mrs. S. Peachey Succumbs at 76
Mrs. Salome Bender Peachey, 76, Landis Homes, Lititz R3, died at Lancaster Osteopathic Hospital Tuesday at 10:10 p.m. after a brief illness.
She was the wife of Shem Peachey, formerly of Quarryville R3.
She resided in Lancaster County since 1951 and was a member of the Bart Mennonite Church.
Born in Springs, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Enoch and Mary Yoder Bender.
In addition to her husband, also of Landis Homes, she is survived by 10 children: Mark, Irwin, Ohio; Paul, Washington, D.C.; Lois, wife of Allen Yoder, and Rhoda, wife of Norman Moore, both of Silver Spring, Md.; Ruth wife of Rod Happel, Sannabelle, Fla.; Laban, Heston, Kan.; Anna, wife of Paul Shenk, Laconia, N.H.; Esther, wife of Harry Lefever, Atlanta, Ga.; Urbane, of Amman, Jordan and Mary Jane, wife of Loren Lind, Toronto, Canada; 28 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers. Milton and Norman Bender, both of Grantsville, Md.
