"MRS. E.B. CHRISTIAN OBITUARY
Guvine Logan Christian was born at Roland, Iowa, May 24, 1889, on the Logan homestead northwest of Roland, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Christ Logan, and died January 1, 1952, at the age of 62 years seven months and seven days.

She was baptized by Rev. C.C. Holter and confirmed by Rev. J.N. Sandven, in Salem Lutheran church.

On June 24, 1909 she was united in marriage to Edward B. Christian, and they made their home on the farm northwest of Roland until February 1945 when they moved to Roland.

This union was blessed with six children, two sons, Cyrus and George Christian of Roland, and four daughters, Mrs. Carroll Twedt and Mrs. Lester Molde of Roland, Mrs. Charles Bane of Omaha, Nebr., and Clarice Christian a teach at Chariton, all of whom survive their mother.

She is also survived by nine grandchildren and a nephew, H.Boyd Teig of St. Paul, Minn., who, at the death of his mother, made his home with them until 1936. Also two brothers, Palmer Logan of Roland, and Noel Logan of Omaha, Nebr., and two sisters, Mrs. Knut Mehus of Roland and Mrs. Carl Tesdall of Radcliffe. Also four half sisters, Mrs. Dena Christian of Story City, Mrs. Martha Mason of Montevideo, Minn., Mrs. Peter Larson and Mrs. Mary Duea of Pipestone, Minn., and three half-brothers, Otis S. Boyd of Roland, Henry Logan of Pipestone, Minn., and Knute Logan of Ada, Minn.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Erickson Funeral Home, where Dr. Robert H. Boyd of St. Paul, Minn., sang a solo, and at Salem Lutheran church, where a high school group sang an anthem, and Don H. Boyd sang a solo. Rev. Olaf Holen was in charge of the services. Burial was made in the Roland cemetery. Pall bearers were Carroll Logan, Cecil Tesdall, Milton Mehus, Earl, John and Julius Christian.

Relatives from a distance attending the funeral were Otis Christian of Aberdeen, S.D., Mrs. J.M. Mason of Montevideo, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. H. Boyd Teig and children, Mrs. Arvid Falk, and Dr. Robert Boyd of St. Paul, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Baldus of Kenyon, Minn., Fred Christian of Charlotte, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gish, Dr. and Mrs. Noel J. Logan, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bane of Omaha, Nebr., Mrs. Leonard Osmundson of Northwood."
