"Palmer Logan, 75, died at Nevada
A former Roland area resident, Palmer E. Logan, died Saturday, February 14, at Oak Park Manor in Nevada after a 2 1/2 year illness.

Born September 21, 1894, in Hamilton County, the son of Christian and Julia Logan, he farmed in the Roland community before retiring to Story City. On January 4, 1915, he was married to Irene Thoompson, who preceded him in death November 4, 1957.

He is survived by two sons, Carroll Logan of Nevada and Richard Logan of Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Mrs. Pauline Best of Norfolk, Nebr., and Delores Stephenson of Ames; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one brother and three sisters.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City with the Rev. C.A. Gisselquist officiating. Burial was in the Roland cemetery."
