Clarence Borsvold, 87, Strandquist, Minn., died Saturday, March 12, 1994, in United Hospital, Grand Forks.

Clarence Borsvold was born May 13, 1906, the son of Hans and Agusta Borsvold, in Climax, Minn. His family moved to Newfolden, Minn., where he attended school. He worked on various farms in the area. He married Mabel T. Wikstrom Aug. 8, 1928, in Warren, Minn. They made their home in Karlstad, Minn., and later Strandquist. He worked as an auto mechanic until 1951, when he began work as a carpenter.

He is survived by a son, Gordon and wife Beverly Borsvold , Strandquist; daughters, Joyce (Mrs. Clarence "Toby") Carlson, Warren, Carol (Mrs. William "Bill") Dick, Brooklyn Center, Minn., and Dorothy (Mrs. Chuck) Bruce, LaPeer, Mich.; 14 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife; a son, Bobby; brothers, George, Edwin, Ernest, Henry, Theodore and Leonard; and a sister, Hattie Wikstrom.

Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday in Gospel Tabernacle, Karlstad.
Visitation: 1 to 9 p.m. in Green Funeral Home, Thief River Falls, and one hour before service in the church.
Burial: Opdahl Cemetery, Newfolden.
