Weaver Susan Eisenman - September 24, 1903
Mrs. Jacob Weaver, wife of Jacob Weaver of the Weaver House, Clarion, Pa., after a painful illness of several weeks, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 1903 at 4:45 a.m. Miss Susan Eisenman was the daughter of Christian and Elizabeth Dale Eisenman and was born at Shippenville August 21, 1841. On July 7, 1863, she was united in marriage with Mr. Jacob Weaver who survives her. To these parents were born thirteen children, seven of whom have preceded their mother to the world beyond. The six surviving children are; Mrs. Clara Fulton, Mrs. Ida Frederick, Vincent C. Weaver, Bertha, Genevieve and Otto J. Weaver, all of whom live in Clarion. Besides, she is survived by brothers and sisters as follows; Miles, Paul, Albert, Frank and Jerry Eisenman and Mrs. Sarah Spiegel of Titusville, and Mrs. Annie Spiegel of Bradner, Ohio, and Catharine Eisenman. Mrs. Weaver was a most lovable, motherly woman and no one could help but respect and love her. About the hotel, it was her constant delight to make guests comfortable and welcome. When, in February 1899, she and her husband stepped into the old Coulter House she took up the responsibility for her share of the labor of making it a success and its name was eventually changed to the Weaver House because the faithful service Mr. and Mrs. Weaver made its reputation under their name. Mrs. Weaver was a devout member of the Roman Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception, of Clarion, and the funeral services will be held in the church Friday morning at 9 o'clock, with Rev. Father Deckenbrock officiating, and the interment will take place in the consecrated spot in the Clarion cemetery. She wroght well; May she now rest in peace.
