Jeremiah Eisenman was born the son of Christian and Elizabeth Eisenman on October 14, 1839, in Clarion County, Pennsylvania. Both parents were originally from Germany.

He married Theresa Spiegel about 1863. They had the following eight children: William born about 1866; Elizabeth born about 1867; Ambrose J born in September 1869; Clara A. born about 1873; Ignants/Ennis born in July 1875; Anna B. born in January 1878; Walter born in June 1883; and Mary born in September 1882.

OBITUARY: Jerry Eisenman

Jerry Eisenman, aged 68, died on Monday morning, May 4, 1908, at 4:30 o’clock, at his residence 128 Forty-second street, Pittsburgh. Born in Elk Township, Clarion County, son of one of the early settlers in the lumber country, he lived there until about 16 years ago, when he moved to Pittsburgh. He since lived in the 17th ward. He was a cooper by trade, but in Clarion county held minor county and township offices. For more than 12 years he worked for the Shiffler Bridge Works, the last two years in the capacity of night watchman, made necessary by his age. He was married 45 years ago to Theresa Spiegle, of Fryburg, Clarion county, and to the couple were born eight children, six of whom with the widow survive. They are William B., Mrs. T.J. Howley, Mary L., Walter C., of Pittsburgh, Ambrose, Philadelphia, and Ignatius, Oil City. The funeral was held Wednesday morning at 8:30 o’clock with requiem high mass at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church at 9 o’clock.
