HIXSON
Lorene DeLois Hixson was born March 25, 1915 in Marion County, Iowa to Frank and Hattie Sams Davis and passed away Friday afternoon Jan. 23, 1981, at the age of 65 years, 9 months and 29 days at Collins Memorial Hospital in Knoxville.
On March 1, 1936 she was united in marriage to Arthur Hixson. To this union four children were born, Darl of Chariton, Mrs. Don (Phyllis) Adams of Norwalk, Charles of Chariton and Mrs. Ron (Jolene) Beadle of Williamson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are her husband Arthur, son Darl and wife Barbara; daughter Phyllis and husband Don Adams; son Charles; and daughter Jolene and husband Ron Beadle; eight grandchildren, Kevin Hixson and wife Brenda, Julie Hixson, Brad Adams, Jon Adams, Nick Adams, Jill Adams, Sharla Hixson and Jamie Hickman; and a brother, Russell Davis of Chariton.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 27, 1981 at the Fielding Funeral Home with the Rev. James Robertson conducting. Burial was in the Russell Cemetery.
Memorials have been established to the Chariton Library and the Lucas County Historical Society.
