Funeral Held Saturday For Mrs. Oscar Carlson

Mrs. Oscar Carlson passed away in Minneapolis Tuesday, November 22, 1960 after a brave fight for health for many years against cancer. Janet, as we all knew her, was our school cook for many years and her husband's companion not only in the home but at school where he is janitor. At work or play, the family was a closely knit unit.

Surviving her are her husband and four sons, M. (whose infant daughter she had never seen) with the air force in Wisconsin; D., a senior at Bemidji State Teachers College; R. and G. at home. She had three brothers: B. Onger of Warren; W. Onger of Strandquist; and H. and two sisters in the cities besides a host of cousins, relatives and friends.

Mrs. Carlson was born in the Strandquist community, November 10, 1914.

The funeral was held Saturday afternoon, November 26th in the Gospel Tabernacle in Karlstad with Rev. J. A. Riveness officiating. Duets were sung by Mr. and Mrs. Ingolf Ingebrigtsen and a solo by Mrs. J. A. Riveness. The pall bearers were A. Anderson, D. Onger, W. Renstrom, T., M. and A. Kittelson.

She was put to rest in the Mission Cemetery at Strandquist.
