ALICE KEZAR, 91
Warroad - Alice Kezar, 91, died on Saturday, June 14, 2003 at the Warroad Care Center in Warroad.
Funeral services were held on Thursday June 19 at Zion Lutheran Church in Warroad. Interment was in Viking Cemetery in Viking.
Alice was born in Wannaska on July 19, 1911, the daughter of Alfred and Hulda (Johnson) Ranum. She grew up in Wannaska and moved to Viking in 1925.
On December 13, 1930, Alice was united in marriage to George Kezar in Oslo. The couple farmed cattle, milked cows and small grains in Viking They moved to Warroad in 1963. For the next 20 years, Alice lived in the Lakeview Apartments in Warroad and the last year, she lived in the Warroad Care Center. She enjoyed making rugs, playing cards and puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include children, Robert Kezar of McGregor, Mildred (Walter) Pokryzwinski of Lankin, N.D.,Riley (Irma) Kezar of Warroad, Violet (Marlin) Parker of Randall and Marion (Edward) Urtel of Warroad; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Sidney, Stanley and Lloyd; sisters, Elsie and Isabelle; two half sisters, Delores and Margaret; two step-brothers, Oscar and Oral; and one step-sister, Marceline.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George; three grandchildren; brothers, Knute, John, Sanford, Glenn and Maynard; and a sister, Florence.
