Ralph C. Troyer of Albany died Sunday at a local care center. He was 93. Born July 12, 1895, in Shanesville, Ohio, he lived in Newton, Kan., before moving to Albany in 1945. He moved to Lebanon in 1948, returning to Albany in 1966. Mr. Troyer attended machinist school in Kansas City; Kan., and worked as a machinist for the Santa Fe Railroad, and later as a carpenter. He married Clara Adeline Monroe in February 1922, in Hesston Kan. She died Oct. 12, 1979. His special interests included civil defense, golf, bowling and rocks. He was also an inventor. He belonged to the First Evangelical Church and had been a member of the Lebanon Evangelical Church. He attended the South Albany Community Church. Surviving are son Victor of Salem; daughter Lucille Hershberger of Denton, Texas; brothers Paul of Goshen, Ind., and Raymond of Phoenix, Ariz. Seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by one grandchild. Viewing hours wtll be from 5 to 8 p.m.
Wednesday at Fisher Funeral Home His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Albany First Evangelical Church with Pastors Dan DeSaulnier and Mark Purkey officiating. Burial will follow in Willamette Memorial Park.
