Funeral services for Mrs. Jonas C. Schultz were held Tuesday, March 30, at the Anderson Funeral Home at 2:30, with the Rev. Olaf Nelson, Jr., officiating. Mrs. Schultz passed away suddenly at the St. Lukes hospital following an illness of ten days, Saturday, March 27. The pallbearers were Nelson Howe, Oscar Henningsgaard, Oliver Olson, Wilbert Klimek, Rudy Medenwaldt and Albert Anderson. Interment was made in the Union Lake cemetery.
Bessie Schultz was born in Quinney, Wis., Aug. 19, 1881, and was 72 years, 5 months and 8 days old at the time of her death. She moved to Alexandria when a baby and was educated in the Alexandria schools, attending high school in Alexandria. She was united in marriage to Jonas C. Schultz of Hutchinson, Minn., June 4, 1907. They lived in Northwood, N.D., the first five years of their marriage, returning to Alexandria in 1911, where they have since lived. She is survived by her husband, Jonas Schultz and two daughters, Irene of Minneapolis and Lucille, at home.
