His widow Nancy (Neal) Flippin died 1837 in Lauderdale Co. and is buried at Old Dry Hill Cemetery near Ripley, TN.

Their children were: A. Martha WRIGHT, William, John Looney, Thomas Alfred, Jesse, Benjamin McAdoo, James Allen, Hester, and Mary Ann GRIGGS.
