Roy Miller Canady of Goode died Sunday, Jan. 14, in Bedford County Memorial Hospital at the age of 77. He was the husband of Mrs. Nannie Geneva Miller Canady, who died a few months ago.

Mr. Canady was born in Bedford County, the son of *Robert Miller Canady and Mrs. Rose Miller Canady. He was a member of Oakland United Methodist Church.

He is survived by a son, Jimmy E. Canady of Goode; four daughters, Mrs. Andrew Padgett of Goode, Mrs. Lennis Wilburn of South Boston, Mrs. Wade Campbell of Lynchburg, and Mrs. Robert E. Smith of Emporia; two brothers, Julian Canady of Rustburg, and Jessee Canady of Akron, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Pack Padgett and Mrs. Earl Inge, of Goode and Mrs. Boyd Hussine and Mrs. Don Johnson, of Roanoke; 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 17, in Carder Funeral Chapel in Bedford, conducted by the Rev. Van E. Cash, and burial was in Virginia Memorial Park near Forest.
